Crispy Honey Garlic Chicken Wings are the Ultimate Party Appetizer

Let’s be honest… Most of us go to the Super Bowl party for 2 things; the halftime show and most importantly the food. Nothing is better than indulging in food whether you team is winning or losing – we can all agree on that. Crispy Honey Garlic Chicken Wings are the ultimate party appetizer that everyone will be talking about.

These chicken wings come out of the oven and are glazed in a mouthwatering sauce that is sweet, tangy with a hint of spice. When you take a bite, you’ll enjoy a crispy skin with juicy tender meat. Make sure there are plenty on your plate for you to enjoy before everyone else eats them.

How to Achieve a Crunchy Skin

Now the typical chicken wing is fried, so that is probably what is assumed. Would you believe me if I told you it wasn’t? That’s right, Crispy Honey Garlic Chicken wings are actually baked in the oven. The most important key to get the crunchy skin without frying, is to bake them on a wire rack. This allows the heat from the oven to surround the whole chicken wing and all you have to do is rotate halfway through.

I love to cook them in the oven to avoid the unhealthy frying in the oil, yet still enjoy the perfect crunchy skin.

Easily Customizable

The best thing about chicken wings is that they are easily customizable. As mentioned above, simply add more or less red pepper flakes for your desired spiciness. You can also make them gluten free by substituting the all purpose flour for gluten free flour. You may also consider adding bread crumbs into the breading mixture to enhance the crispy crunchy texture on your wings. Wanting to transform them into chicken nuggets?
