It’s packed with sweet strawberries, plump blueberries and tangy raspberries, however, I have swapped out strawberries for blackberries and found it just as delicious. With every sip, you’re providing yourself with antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. Now as I mentioned before, it’s minimal sugar and not your normal smoothie from your sugar filled smoothie shops. The berries add just the right amount of sweet fruity flavor to this filling nutty enriched smoothie.

Items Needed to Make this Nutritional Healthy Triple Berry Smoothie

  • Vitamix Blender
  • Almond Milk
  • Filtered water
  • Frozen Strawberries
  • Frozen Raspberries
  • Frozen Blueberries
  • Frozen Spinach
  • Ground Flaxseed
  • Cacao Powder
  • Collagen Peptides
  • Cinnamon
  • Almond Butter
  • Ice cubes

Luckily all these ingredients can be ones you have on hand that will last a decent amount of time. Now don’t be fooled with the frozen spinach ingredient. You will see frozen spinach that is sold at the store in the freezer section. DO NOT GRAB IT! This is not the frozen spinach you want. I love to grab a big container of fresh spinach and add it to a large ziplock, compress the air out of the bag and toss it in my freezer so it will be ready for the next triple berry smoothie. Now if you forget to do that or run out of frozen, don’t worry, you can add it fresh and it not make much of a difference.

Now with no added sugar, the little sweetness comes from the frozen berries. You can also trick your kids into thinking it’s a chocolate berry smoothie. I started my kids with drinking this when they were about 1 year old so they don’t mind that it’s not super sweet, they just see the berries and coming running. Little will they know you’ve added in spinach and flaxseed which may not be something your kids are drawn to. Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 cup purified water
  • 1 Handful of frozen spinach (read notes below)
  • 1/2 cup of frozen mixture of berries (Strawberries, Raspberries, Blueberries)
  • 1 scoop of unflavored collagen peptides(optional)
  • 1 tbsp ground flaxseed
  • 1 tbsp cacao powder
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp almond butter
  • 3 ice cubes

Instructions

Blend all ingredients together. Enjoy!

Notes

Buy fresh spinach and freeze in a large ziplock bag, also make sure to add the spinach before your berries to avoid extra splashing.
