The name describes it perfectly…. Heavenly!! This rich chocolate sauce is something you can indulge in all by itself. The best thing is that you can whip it up in minutes.
Growing up, I can always remember being at Gram’s house with her delicious home cooking and chocolate kisses always awaiting my arrival. What can I say, she knew CHOCOLATE was the way to my heart. My mom definitely inherited Gram’s skills; she would always make this chocolate sauce every summer along with homemade ice cream. This is a memory I will cherish and pass down to my kids every summer.
The next day, I always love to grab a quick spoonful. The sauce becomes slightly thicker but is still runny and just as indulgent as the day before. As Mary Poppins says…. “A spoon full of *chocolate sauce* helps the medicine go down.”
And if you’re debating on which unsweetened cocoa powder to use, go with Ghiradelli. Trust me, you can totally taste a difference. But if Hershey’s is all you have, this sauce will still come out magical!
This sauce keeps well for 2 weeks in the refrigerator…if it lasts that long. LOL
Here is another great recipe to help beat this summer heat. And it is extremely easy to make.
